In keeping with our motto – Begin with the End in Mind – the Initiation Phase of our Six-Step Project Management Life Cycle is one of the most crucial building blocks in the process.
The Initiation Phase starts with the client’s concept. Our Hallsta team takes the idea, scopes it appropriately, and develops a plan for the prospective needs along with addressing the minutiae upfront. Whether you’re looking to construct a building from the ground up or adding a sterilizer, the Initiation Phase lays the groundwork for the entire project.
Hallsta COO Renee Fields says, “The Initiation Phase is when the client begins looking at the plan. We work with them to provide arguments and basis relative to their facility needs and patient care. What’s cool about Hallsta is we help them look beyond their original plan with the end in mind – the budget, the schedule, and the patient experience. We’re always thinking, ‘How can we support this project to fruition and identify all the required pathways.'”
Hallsta often acts as an advocate for clients within their own organizations. Whether clients have to present to a board or executive team, Hallsta becomes a partner in helping identify the value of the project internally. Each client has a different process for approval, budget, and desired outcome – we tailor our approach to each.
Before we begin the planning process, which is Step 2, the Initiation Phase preemptively works out kinks and creates spaces for the hard conversations. It’s the brainstorming phase, something every creative professional understands as vital to success.
