Selecting the right IOR for your project is critical. At Hallsta, whether we are helping our client with that selection or providing the inspection services, we understand the process and eliminate the possibility of HCAI inspection becoming a stumbling block to your project’s success.
Once known as OSHPD, HCAI (Department of Health Care Access and Information) regulates any construction project within acute healthcare, nursing, or 24-hour stay facilities in California. HCAI oversees all construction in this realm via its independent, state-licensed Inspectors of Record (IOR), as well as through a field staff that periodically visits the site of construction to observe all components being installed and/or built. With the end goal of serving the patient’s health and best interest always at our forefront, Hallsta manages this process for you.
Hallsta understands the value of experience and meticulous attention to detail required for each IOR assigned to a project. Two of Hallsta’s HCAI-certified, Class A IORs – Ola Ostlund and Anthony (Tony) DiNardo – have over 30 years of experience each. At Hallsta, there is an emphasis on proactivity, keeping our projects moving forward and on track. Ostlund explains, “A lot of our work has a very proactive approach – trying to find solutions and issues before they become problems. Both Tony [DiNardo] and I are very seasoned inspectors and with that experience, it helps us to be assisting in the projects and avoid becoming a stumbling block for the contractor.”
This kind of experience and ability to foresee the issues which might otherwise lead to bigger problems is what allows Hallsta to be supportive of all teams involved when we work together toward our goal of completion. Of course, we don’t simply strive for completion in any of our projects. We seek perfection!
