At Hallsta, our project managers incorporate all elements of managing a project, including the facilities operational policies and standards for successful, ongoing surveys and accreditation. At the top of the list is adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Through beginning, middle, and end – we take every step to ensure compliance.
“We know Joint Commission really well,” Hallsta Co-Founder Kelly Martinez says. “And we utilize this knowledge when managing a project, or providing licensing services, or activating a unit. We have been there when a facility has the unexpected TJC survey team show up on a Monday morning.”
From the start of every project, our team considers ICRA, ILSM, EOC – all of the many items included in a TJC survey. Once the project is closed out, we know what information to give to the hospital so they can maintain inventory and preventative maintenance schedules. One example is fire dampers. They only need to be tested every five years, right? Yes and no. When you install a fire damper, you must test it one year after installation. Only then can it move to a five-year schedule. It is so easy to miss that. Hallsta prevents that; our expert team knows the requirements like the back of their hand.
As with every project, we keep the end in mind – the patient. From the beginning of design to the end with activation, we focus on all aspects of safety, standards, and regulations.
