Where It Began
With one of Hallsta’s founders being a Registered Nurse and former Administrator in charge of Hospital Ancillary Services and Operations and the other being a Licensed IOR, Certified Project Manager and Licensed Contractor, they have built a team of uniquely qualified members with varied expertise that allows Hallsta to pool resources, share experience and expertise and ultimately bring superior standards and performance in our client’s projects. Over the past 30 years, Hallsta has become one of the most trusted healthcare companies in California.

Co-founder
With over 29 years of experience, Ola Ostlund is one of the most experienced and trusted Healthcare Management Professionals in California. Since 1993, Ola has provided Master Planning, Project Management, OSHPD Strategy, and Inspection services to hospitals and clinics in California and beyond. His expertise provides clients with comprehensive beginning-to-end solutions specializing in the planning, design, construction, and licensing of new or renovated healthcare facilities.
Ola and his wife, Mary, have five children, one son-in-law, and one grand-dog. One of his greatest joys is participating with Boy Scouts and seeing his three boys earn their Eagle Scout Awards. Ola’s favorite team is AC Milan or whatever team Zlatan Ibrahimovic is playing on.
Co-founder
Kelly is a registered nurse, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and is certified in emergency management and lean processes. As a registered nurse, prior hospital administrator, and Chief Operating Officer, she brings a unique perspective to project management, clinical impact planning, licensing, regulatory compliance, and OSHPD strategy for healthcare facilities and clinics.
Kelly and her husband, Ralph, have three children. They love spending time camping at Yosemite, playing soccer, and caring for their “Martinez Hobby Farm.”
Chief Operating Officer
Renee has been managing services and operations for 25 years. As a former Vice President in the banking industry for 13 years, she moved to Director of Operations for a nonprofit. There, she oversaw a $13 million new construction project, a $3 million annual budget, facilities management, Human Resources, and risk management.
Renee is married and is the proud mother of three sons, one of which is a Major in the US Army, as well as four grandsons. She enjoys playing softball, bowling, and going to concerts.
Director, Operational Support
Yesenia has worked in the healthcare industry since 2014 and oversees Hallsta’s Human Resources department. As a former Facilities Coordinator, Yesenia holds extensive skills in administration, facilities management, and leadership. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from California State University, Los Angeles. In addition, she has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organization Studies from Azusa Pacific University.
Yesenia proactively advocates healthy exercise regimens, enjoys movies, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband.
Administrative Assistant
Bonnie oversees our company’s accounts payables and receivables. She supports human resources and brings experience from Wyle Laboratories and Electronics Division as a Staff/Senior Accountant for eight years. Bonnie has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach. She took time off to raise her children and reentered the workforce with Bank of America in the Foreclosures Department, then proceeded to work as an Administrative Assistant for a nonprofit organization for eight years. She loves spending time with her family, keeping active, and traveling.
Project Manager
Manny is an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history in the construction industry. He is professionally skilled in Project Estimation, Construction, Pre-construction, Contract Management, and Subcontracting. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Construction Engineering. When he’s not at work, Manny loves anything outdoors, from surfing and skating to rock climbing.
Project Manager
Project Manager Drake Fay-Paget brings a whole host of talent to the table. Her background in architectural and healthcare design fit in perfectly with Hallsta’s mission. Her Bachelor’s in Architecture provides the foundation she needs to help clients find creative solutions to complex problems. Drake received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Woodbury University. She enjoys working with healthcare heroes, being their advocate, and creating the best workspace for them to have their needs met.
Drake has married the love of her life. She and her husband love walking on the beach accompanied by their dog, Gia. Drake prides herself on being an amateur chef and mixologist. Her favorite foods are watermelon and guacamole.
Assistant Project Manager
Kathryn Mohorc is an Assistant Project Manager with tons of energy and drive. She balances the many tasks of Project Management and utilizes her experience in facilities management. Her favorite part of working at Hallsta is striving to be successful within every step of the Project Manager Life Cycle, seeing a project through from start to finish.
After work, you can find Kathryn being active outdoors – soaking up the sun at the beach or on a hike with her partner, Miranda. She has a big family that she enjoys barbequing and playing board games with.
Project Manager
Ross Fazalbhoy is our well-rounded and detail-oriented Project Manager. He is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and direction of our projects. Ross is especially in tune with owner needs, specifications, costs, and schedules. From the initial project identification through construction closeout, Ross is fully engrossed and engaged. He also thrives in a team environment, finding the most joy when collaborating and reaching collective goals.
Outside of work, you’ll find him cooking, camping, hiking, traveling, or spending time with family. He adores being a father to his teenage daughter, especially when they’re eating sushi or going to Disneyland together.
Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator, Kaitlyn is the key administrative support for the Clinical and Project Management team members. She is responsible for coordinating various aspects of projects to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
She has her Associate’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management and has worked in the healthcare industry for the last year.
In her free time Kaitlyn enjoys, hiking, rock climbing, baking, reading, trying new restaurants/dessert spots, and playing tennis. Her favorite food is Filipino food, and she really enjoys lechon and chicken adobo.
Assistant Project Manager
Daniel is an Assistant Project Manager at Hallsta. His experience in mechanical and electrical engineering contributes to the well-rounded team of project managers at Hallsta. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California Riverside. He thrives in a team-oriented environment, working with people and the intricacies of the healthcare environment.
When he’s not enjoying a fresh serving of sashimi, his hobbies include PC gaming, cycling, and archery.
Inspector of Record (IOR)
Benjamin is our IOR and joins us with a wide array of experience from real estate to working his way up the ladder of the construction world. After a real estate agent career of 9 years, he transferred his skills to construction. He has successfully gone from construction laborer, foreman, and superintendent to reaching his goal of IOR. His dedication and drive make him a vital part of Hallsta’s IOR efforts.
Outside of work, you can find him raising his two daughters, Apple and Cherry. When he’s not being an awesome dad, he can be found skating, reading, or watching anime.
Social Media and Marketing Specialist
Jonathan is responsible for planning, creating, implementing, and monitoring the company’s Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn – content to keep our followers updated with our projects and provided services.
Jonathan has his Certificate from Norco College in Music/Live Sound. He is the Production Director at New Beginnings Community Church, where he enjoys creating video content for services, among other responsibilities.
Jonathan is newly engaged and enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and traveling.
Project Operations Manager
Nicole is responsible for supporting our strategic initiatives and healthcare clinical projects, including effective planning, managing, and implementing projects in compliance with the necessary clinical protocols, regulations, goals, and authorities having jurisdiction.
She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Science and has worked in the healthcare industry for the last 4 years specializing in licensing and activations.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, reading, wine tasting, going to concerts, finding new restaurants, and exploring coffee shops. Her favorite food is sushi and poke.

Procurement Executive
Andrea has worked in healthcare since 2002 and is part of Hallsta’s procurement and operational readiness efforts to develop, license, and open newly acquired facilities. Andrea has a wide breadth of experience and expertise. On the healthcare side, she has executed clinical operations, strategic planning & sourcing, mergers & acquisitions, and policy/procedural development for small and multi-facility/state healthcare systems. In addition, she has managed supervisor and director-level teams, is well-versed in operational and clinical staffing models and has experience in new program implementation.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from California State University, Fullerton, an Executive Master’s Degree in Public Health from UCLA, and a Doctorate of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix with a dissertation focused on Veteran and Civilian Amputee’s Perceptions regarding Medical and Emotional Support Post-Amputation. Andrea has assumed various roles around the US over the last 15 years and is happy to be back in her home state of California, close to family and friends.
When she’s not working, Andrea is at the beach, on a hike, or enjoying a great book. She rides bikes with her dad and plays pickleball with her mom. Andrea especially loves being “Super Auntie” to her sister’s son and daughter who live in Hawaii.
Project Manager
Richard has over 31 years of hospital management experience. At Hallsta, he oversees our OSHPD Construction projects at PIH Good Samaritan Hospital. Richard received his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of La Verne. The highlight of his career is serving the community he’s been a part of for the last 30-plus years.
Richard spends most of his free time with his wife Patrizia and his children Matthew, London, and Erin. Richard and Patrizia love the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and beach walks. He also enjoys cooking various cuisines, especially barbecue, Italian and Mexican dishes.
